Now in its third year, the Equipt survey has revealed a landscape of cities that are leaning into the future. Cities and their diverse networks of public, private and civic institutions are now responsible for investing in and building the many things that make communities good places for people to live. This year’s report takes a look at how cities have progressed in the seven Equipt elements throughout the years and details a rich tapestry of innovation and practical results — often realized through challenging circumstances — that can be instructive to other cities. Or, to put it more plainly, the report offers ideas other cities can borrow to become Equipt to Innovate.
