Achieving retirement security for public sector employees

A roundtable discussion hosted by Governing magazine and sponsored by TIAA brought together retirement industry providers and public officials from across the United States. Governing’s Mark Funkhouser moderated the roundtable which focused on the challenges public employers are facing and the steps they’re taking to meet those challenges. Of particular interest was how innovative thinking around retirement system design can reduce pension stress and ensure that current and future retirees have access to income for life in retirement.
